Brighton Club
LAW has, in the past, run practices in Brighton at various venues.
We originally started down in Brighton back in 2006 at Deans Leisure Centre in Rottingdean, just outside of Brighton.
Bobby, a local Brighton lad contacted Jek about grappling in 2006 - after which both used to meet at Cheetahs for weekly grappling sessions. In late 2007 when interest in the group grew, Bobby contacted Deans leisure centre, which is affiliated to his former 6th form school. After discussion with Chris, the centre manager (who was very supportive and helpful) regular Friday practice sessions started.
In line with LAW's mission statement, our practice sessions are open to everyone (from novice to competitive) irrespectively.
LAW has also teamed up with Kicks Martial Arts Centre in Brighton to run occasional beginners courses in recent years.
In summer 2009 practices moved to Whitehawk Youth Centre on the east side of Brighton city centre.
