Practice Sessions
We train regularly in South London. Coaching is provided by our club founder Jek, who has many years wrestling experience in the UK, including european tournament success. We also draw on the expertise of visiting coaches.
The club also organises its own friendly tournaments.
There will be no practice session on Saturday 4th Feb at Thornton Heath.
Sessions resume the following Saturday as normal.

London (Thornton Heath Leisure Centre, Thornton Heath)
Our practices have moved from City University to Thornton Heath in South London.
LAW practices at Thornton Heath incorporate both coaching/training and Open Mat (wrestling between club members without coaching). Check the practice timetable above. Mat practice is for Olympic wrestling and Grappling (Submission) only. All participants must be members of the club.
How to get there
- Thornton Heath Leisure Centre, 100 The High Street, Thornton Heath, CR7 8LF
- Nearest train station: Thornton Heath (3 mins walk)
Train times: from London Victoria | from London Bridge | from Brighton - Maps: Google | streetmap.co.uk | bing.com
Parking: being London you may find it easier and possibly cheaper to use public transport. The leisure centre has no car park, however there is street side pay and display parking on roads surrounding the centre.
There are frequent trains from London Victoria and the journey takes less than half an hour. Thornton Heath can also be reached from London Bridge and Brighton via connections at East Croydon. From Thornton Heath station, walk out the main exit and turn left along the high street. Follow the road as it curves to the right. The leisure centre is on the left just after a set of roads join from the left.
