Southern Region March 2009 Competition
LAW is hosting the British Wrestling Association Southern Region's competition this year. It is to be held on Sunday 22nd of March 2009. This is a closed tournament open to BWA members belonging BWA Southern Region Clubs only.

General notes for clubs
Remember that no entries will be accepted on the day and there will be no facilities to join BWA membership. Emails or phone calls giving details of clubs and participants are welcome up until 6pm on Saturday 21st March 2009. Contact details and forms here Please fill in the weight of participants to save time (participants weights will still checked on the day).
All clubs must designate a coach. BWA rules also specify that each club must provide an official to help with the refereeing or scoring.
There will be junior referees at this tournament. Under the guidance of Ted and Ian they may referee the occasional junior bout. Please support them.
With everybody's help we will start on time. This will mean an early finish and journey home!

How to register to enter
Clubs wishing to participate must register beforehand. Entry forms must be received by 6pm on Saturday 21st March 2009. Please provide the weight of participants to help save time on the day (although note that participants weights will still checked on the day). Please also note per-wrestler competition entry fees. How to get there
The compeition is being held at Deans Leisure Centre, in Rottingdean, near Brighton. There is parking space for cars or mini-buses.

Driving directions:
- Do not go into Brighton!
From London area take the A23 then join the A27 towards Lewis
From Southampton or West of Brighton take the A27 towards Lewis
From East of Brighton take the A27 towards Brighton
- Leave the A27 at Falmer/Brighton University and take the B2123 to Woodingdean
(this road continues to the coast)
- Longhill school and the leisure centre are in the dip on the right side of the road and signposted. You will also see the sports fields.

By public transport:
See train times to Brighton rail station or National Express for coaches. From near the railway station, bus services 2, 2A, and 57 head from the town centre out towards Rottingdean / East Saltdean, however only bus 57 is guaranteed to get you there in time for the weigh-in:

To get to the bus stop for 2/2A: Come out of the train station and walk down towards the seafront until you reach the crossroads between North Street and Queens Road, then either turn left down North Street or right down Western Road to get to a Bus stop (see the maps on the service info pages above).
