Our summer submission tournament had 9 competitors, neatly arranged into light, middle and heavyweight groups. It all went off smoothly, with a quick turnover of bouts yet everyone having time to catch their breath.

Easter Submission Tournament
30th April 2011 @ Stanley Deason Leisure Centre, Brighton
To celebrate Easter, LAW did a spot of submission wrestling training down in Brighton, followed by an informal tournament to put things into practice. The day was rounded off with a BBQ back at the coach’s house.

Our club entered our squad of 4 wrestlers Vlad (84kg), Aram(74kg), Lyubo and Salman(67kg). We returned with 1 Gold and 1 Bronze.

Congratulations to our wrestlers who competed in the British Novices tournament in Manchester.
BCCMA Champion – Jon Watkins
Congratulations to LAW member Jon Watkins! On Saturday 19th September 2009, Jon entered the BCCMA (British Council for Chinese Martial Arts) 2009 Shuai Jiao Tournament. After defeating all his opponents to the finals, Jon beat his opponent 9 – 1 to become the appointed British Champion in this discipline.
